I inadvertantly set it this way when trying to find a method by which I could change the background colour from the default grey; then, for one reason or another, forgotten what I'd done. Hope this helps other people as daft as me. WebbSelect Start , then select Settings > Apps > Apps & features. Scroll to the desired app, select More options on the right edge of the window, then select Advanced options. In the Background apps permissions section, under Let this app run in the background, select one of the following options:
