WebMar 3, 2024 · I slept one night in the back during a road trip when a hotel wasn't an option. At 6'1 I had to sleep at an angle and it wasn't comfortable at all. My feet were up against the tail gate and the seat doesn't fold exactly flat. I had a four inch thick thermarest pad. A decent tent is a much better option. I,m 6'1" and was stretched out fully and had a couple inches to spare. Thats with the front seats fully forward. width-wise, Cozy for two that dont mind being close.

It sucked, but it was better than pitching a tent in 20° temps with 3" of snow on the ground. The big downside is you lose most of your gear storage.
